Safety Information - Baby Wraps

Luna Cocoon sling carriers are designed for use with infants weighing over 8lb (3.6kg) and under 35lb (15.9kg).

Never use this sling carrier to carry an infant weighing below 8lb (3.6kg) or over 35lb (15.9kg).  Do not use with premature infants.

Examine your sling carrier for wear and tear before each use.  Do not use if there is any rips, tears or damage to the fabric.

Always secure the sling carrier with a double knot.

Ensure that the baby is safely positioned according to the instructions.

Keep your baby's face visible and not pressed tightly against your body, baby's chin off their chest, nose and mouth not covered, head close enough to kiss their forehead.

Check on the baby often.  Ensure that the baby is periodically repositioned.

If using the sling carrier while breastfeeding, always move the baby's face away from the breast after feeding and reposition the baby upright.

Never leave a baby in or with a sling carrier that is not being worn.

Never use your sling carrier when balance or mobility is impaired because of exercise, drowsiness, medication or medical conditions.

Never place more than one child in a sling carrier.  Never use more than one baby wrap at the same time.

Never use the sling carrier while engaging in activities such as cooking or cleaning that involve exposure to a heat source or chemicals.

Never wear a sling carrier while driving or being a passenger in a motor vehicle.

Never use your wrap in any body of water.

Be mindful of your baby's temperature, always ensuring that baby is comfortable.

Provide hands on support to your baby when bending down or leaning over, as your baby could fall if unsupported.
