Caring for Your Luna Cocoon Handwoven Wrap
Silk and silk blends are delicate fibers that require gentle handling to maintain their beauty and longevity.
Here’s how to safely wash and dry your Luna wrap:
Washing Instructions:
Fill a tub or sink with cold water (below 30°C/86°F).
Add a small amount of a pH-neutral detergent specifically for silk (avoid wool wash, as it may be too
alkaline). A gentle shampoo can also work well.
Submerge the wrap, swish it gently, and avoid scrubbing or soaking.
Rinse thoroughly in cold water to remove all soap.
Removing Excess Water:
Option 1 (for trusted top-load machines): Wrap the wrap inside a large towel and spin briefly in a washing
machine. Never use a front-loader!
Option 2 (manual method): Lay the wrap on a couple of old towels, roll it up, and then stand on the rolled-
up "sausage" to press out excess water.
By this point, your wrap should be damp but not dripping wet.
Drying & Ironing:
While still damp, iron on a silk setting to smooth out wrinkles.
Hang to dry away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
Do Not:
• Use a washing machine (unless you fully trust your top-loader).
• Use wool wash, fabric softeners, bleach, or harsh detergents.
• Wring, twist, or scrub the fabric.
A little extra care goes a long way in keeping your Luna wrap soft, strong, and beautiful for years to come!
